When does your makeup expire?

When does your makeup expire?

If you’re limpiando 🧽 🧹 and organizing your home, don’t forget about your makeup!

We’ve put together this info guide on how to check for expiration dates on any beauty product. It’s important to declutter old products for the safety and hygiene of your face and skin! In addition, using products within the expiration period, help with getting the best performance from the product.

1. Check for the PAO symbol on the packaging.

Review the box or packaging of your any beauty product and look for the PAO symbol. The PAO symbol stands for “Period After Opening” and it is marked with an opened jar symbol.

Inside the open jar, you will see a number. The number indicates the time period of expiration in months. The symbol helps you identify how long a product is safe to use after it has been opened for the first time.

2. Lipsticks usually expire within 12 months of opening a new tube. We've included our Que Matte Liquid Lipsticks and Cremosa Matte Lipsticks as examples.

3. TOSS THAT OLD MAKEUP... even Vive lipsticks.
